Leadwork and chimneys in Slough and London
Chimney flashings, valleys and repointing — the details that actually keep the house dry.

A chimney leak is often blamed on the tiles. A lot of the time the lead has split, the pointing has fallen out, or the back gutter is holding water. We get up there, photograph the fault, and price the lead and the brickwork separately so you can see what you are paying for.
Valleys on these roofs are either lead or copper. Copper is the right finish on plenty of clay tile roofs — it dresses cleanly and it is what you can see on the older pitched work around here. Lead still does the chimneys, the abutments and the bays.
If a stack is leaning or the pots are unsafe we say so. Repointing a chimney that needs taking down is not a favour. Small brickwork and making good after chimney work sits with us, because the company is roofing and building, not roofing only.
