Matching a tile matters. A single wrong profile on a front slope shows from the street, and it often leaks because it does not sit in the bond. We carry or order to the existing tile where the roof is staying, and we say when the old tile is obsolete and a full slope is the sensible repair.
Slate on Victorian terraces in Ealing, Hounslow and Reading needs a lighter hand than a concrete re-tile. Nail sickness, cracked slates, and lead soakers at dormers are the usual faults. We do not recommend a concrete tile over a slate roof without talking about the weight on the rafters.
Moss is not a service we sell for the sake of it. If moss is holding water in a valley or lifting a tile, it comes off as part of the repair. If the roof is sound, we leave it.
